My uncle has a weird hobby of collecting gold coins. In their home, he has a room that is dedicated only in keeping his gold coin collections. I was fortunate to be able to go inside this room and see his collection. I was amazed with what I saw and it even make me think of collecting coins too. When I talked to my uncle about his collection, I have learned that collecting coins in not just a hobby but also an investment. This is because the price of gold steadily increases over time.

My uncle buy gold coins, collect them and he lets the value of gold increase. Someday his collection will be valued maybe even ten times its value today. This is really a great hobby and investment at the same time.

Though my cousin Nicole is just in her early teens, she is already showing signs of varicose veins. At first, she has only a few of them. The summer break has started for almost two weeks already and my cousin Anne still can’t come up with something useful to spend her free time with. However, she suddenly wanted to learn how to play a guitar when she saw a great song and guitar performance in a bar that we visited last weekend. This is a great hobby for Anne because playing the guitar should complement her good singing talent.

Anne is a fast learner so I have no doubts that she will be able to learn the basic of playing a guitar in no time. His brother also has Martin guitars that she can always practice with.

Toys for Big Boys

Since Lester is just a young boy, he already loves playing with remote controlled cars. Now that he’s a grown up man, he still has a passion for playing RC cars. The only difference now is that instead of using battery powered cars, he now plays with Nitro Remote Control Cars. These are toy cars that are very powerful and drives like real cars. The details in the design of nitro cars are also very accurate that it’s like looking at a real car. Nitro Remote Control Cars are truly remarkable toys for big boys.

Lester and I are looking forward in racing our nitro cars soon.

Playing with Lights

Photography is one of my hobbies and every time I get a chance to practice it, I make sure try something new. This coming weekend, our small photography group is planning to try out playing with strobes or studio lights. We’ve invited a model and she agreed to wear womens lingerie for our shoot. This is the first time that I am going to experience taking photos of a model so I am making preparations as early as today. I hope I can learn something new from our model shoot as I am always looking forward in improving my photography skills.

Practicing photography helps me take my mind off my problems and work. Without this hobby, it’s hard to imagine how I can stay sane.

Playing on a Different Level

It has been more than six months since my cousin Paul started to learn how to play a guitar. From learning the basics, he has now mastered playing dozens of songs with his guitar. He has also started using soundcraft mixers to generate different sound effects with his guitar. The last time I heard from him he said that he and his friends are already planning to put up a band of their own. This is great news for us because Paul has finally found something that he really loves to do.

To be able to be a part of a band is really something. Because of this, there is no doubt that Paul is now playing his guitar on a different level.
